The Nordic–Swiss Business Ladies community opened the spring season with an inspiring gathering in Zürich, bringing together more than 70 remarkable women — and several supportive men — for a afternoon of connection, reflection, and empowerment at Restaurant Lux.

Held in celebration of International Women’s Day under the theme “Give to Gain”, the event encouraged participants to reflect on one powerful question: On whose shoulders do you stand today.

Three outstanding speakers shared their insights on leadership, courage, and the importance of lifting others as we rise:

• • Päivi Rekonen, Chairman of the Board at AMINA Bank, highlighted the legacy of the women who paved the way and reminded us that while we cannot repay them, we can pay it forward.
  • Jeannine Pilloud, Head of Partnerships for Innovation at ETH Zürich, spoke about curiosity and courage as essential drivers for navigating an unpredictable future.
  • Prof. Dr. Alina Matyukhina, Head of Cybersecurity Business Unit at Siemens and founder of CYBERLEAD Hub, emphasized mentorship and the power of sharing success.
